Up Your Matcha Review* & Recipes

Hello all!

So the reason I have had a three month break from blogging is because of my MPhil. But I have missed this so much and I am so glad I am back on track with it!

What is Up Your Matcha Green Tea Powder?

I have been the opportunity to review Up Your Matcha - a super powder green tea.  Up Your Matcha contains 40g of rich matcha green tea powder, where the whole green tea lead is ground to a 100% organic, vegan friendly powder. As you eat/drink this powder it gives you a great kick of caffeine which is natural and healthy.

Furthermore it contains 40 servings of matcha. Just one serving a day, is a great way to start a balanced lifestyle. There's a low dose of naturally occurring caffeine in matcha which helps to give a power punch, steadily over 4 to 6 hours.

Below demonstrates two recipes you can use with the powder to provide inspiration.

Matcha Green Tea Latte

  • 1 tsp Vanilla (optional) or you can use sugar or honey
Boil water in a kettle and simmer the almond milk in a small saucepan with the syrup
Whilst the milk is warming up, add the matcha and some water. Use a milk frother which can be bought from here, until the matcha has dissolved, add the rest of the water in the mug.
When the milk starts to bubble. Take it over to the sink, tip it on the side and use the milk frother for 1-2 minutes. Add to the matcha green tea and finish with a dusting of cocoa (optional)
